Description One of the many Red Oaks, the Nutall Oak highly resembles the Shummard Red Oak, and it is often confused with it as well. Not well know in the industry Quercus nuttallii may soon replace other Red Oaks due to its richer red fall color, better branching structure, and higher transplant survival due to a stronger root system. Hardiness: USDA Zones 4-9
