Veronica spicata ‘Sunny Border Blue’ Speedwell

Veronica spicata ‘Sunny Border Blue’ is a full sun, clumping perennial with lance-shaped, crinkled, and toothed, glossy green leaves. Speedwell bears an erect, sturdy flower spikes up to 7 inches long. The flowers are tubular, dark violet-blue and occur from early summer to late fall. These flowers are great as cut flowers and also will attract butterflies into the garden. The plant reaches 18-20 inches in height and 12 inches in width. Sunny Border Blue makes a wonderful rock garden plant and should not be kept too wet. 1993 PPA Perennial Plant of the Year!
