This Indian Blanket Flower was found in England, a chance seedling of Gaillardia x grandiflora ‘Goblin’. ‘Fanfare’ is a compact, mounding Gaillardia sporting flowers with a dark red center surrounded by a single row of fluted yellow petals that look like small torches with red throats. ‘Fanfare’ is very hardy and easy to maintain with a long bloom season, blooming from spring to fall with proper deadheading. Fanfare Gaillardia is very floriferous too, one plant can have over 100 blooms! Cut back hard at the end of the season. This Indian Blanket Flower is one of the greatest sun loving perennials on the market and is unique in every way and still just as drought, heat, humidity, and cold tolerant as the original!
